A world leader in the management of spill and waste containment, UltraTech provide a wide range of patented products for use by manufacturing and construction industries and government instrumentalities to minimise the risk of pollution of waterways via the stormwater drainage system.

Many UltraTech products are made from X-Tex, a hydrophobic/lipophilic medium produced from recycled fibre. Utilising state-of-the-art technology, these materials are blended and processed into a lightweight fibre mass with enormous surface area and interstitial spaces creating a high performance absorbent and filter media.

X-Tex allows large volumes of water to pass through while absorbing liquid hydrocarbons, including petrol, animal and vegetable oils.

X-Tex is cost effective - It absorbs an average of 20 times its own weight in liquid hydrocarbons, and is widely used in oil/water separators, stormwater and wastewater filtration systems and water "polishing" applications.

X-Tex is also available with Zeolite or Activated Carbon embedded between layers of X-Tex for removal of oils as well as certain dissolved metals and nutrients.

Keep Sediment And Other Pollutants From Entering The Water System With Ultra-DrainGuard Catch Basin Inserts

Stormwater pollution has become a major concern both locally and on a national level. Ultra-DrainGuards remove waste from stormwater before it can become a problem in the water system.

Three models are available:

  • Rubbish & Debris Model - Designed specifically to catch larger items and floatables like leaves, cigarette butts and paper goods
  • Oil & Sediment Model - Removes up to 3.3 litres of hydrocarbons as well as dirt, sand and other contaminants
  • Oil & Sediment Plus Model - The addition of X-Tex filter strips increases oil and grease absorption to 5.25 litres of hydrocarbon removal.

Designed for practical use in:

  • Industrial facilities - Keep oil and other contaminants from entering the storm drains
  • Construction sites - Capture eroded soil and wind-blown debris
  • Parking areas and "Drive-in" retail facilities - Selected geotextiles collect oil, fuel and other contaminants that drip from cars and trucks.

Ultra-DrainGuard, Reusable Model

Ultra-DrainGuard, Reusable Model offer all the benefits of the standard Ultra-DrainGuard, but their rugged polypropylene construction means that they can be easily rinsed and reused.

Their large accumulation pocket collects up to 220 kg of silt, dirt, sediment and soil, and is designed for easy removal by a backhoe, forklift or other equipment.

Available in both disposable and re-usable models, the curb-inset style Ultra-DrainGuard stops silt, sediment and other debris from entering curb inlets and catch basins.

Captures sediment, silt, debris and other runoff before it enters our waterways.

For use with flat grate catch basins, the Ultra-GrateGuard allows run-off to flow through while blocking sediment and/or capturing oil.

Both Oil/Sediment and Sediment Only models in various sizes are available.
