BS Series Mini Solvent Recycling Systems to 31 litre capacity

Dirty solvents (organic or aqueous) can be evaporated out of waste product, then condensed, allowing re-use of the recovered solvent.

Using this process, a high separation efficiency is usually obtained. Dirty solvent is loaded into the evaporation chamber either by hand, pump or vacuum.

The evaporating chamber has a double jacket with integrated steam generator. The dirty solvent is heated to evaporation, then the gaseous solvent is directed through a condenser, where it is liquefied.

The clear, clean and re-usable solvent flows out of the machine leaving a residue of thick material which remains in the vessel and can be removed easily.

The BS Series units will distill approximately 5 litres of solvent per hour.

Features and Benefits:

  • A solvent recovery system for smaller companies
  • Small footprint
  • No cooling water is necessary
  • The soiled solvents can be distilled in a plastic bag - Simply lift out the residues from the unit. No difficult tank cleaning!
  • Throughput can be increased with vacuum option
  • Easy operation and low maintenance.

AV Series - Batch Distillation Systems to 110 litre capacity

The explosion-proof OFRU Series AV uses an exchangeable distillation container made of high-grade steel and can be supplied with an optional vacuum unit.

The treatment of the dirty solvents takes place in a heatproof plastic bag, which is clamped into the distillation container. Depending on the solid matter in the solvent, the bag can be reused between 2 and 10 times.

The AV Series will distill between 4 and 35 litres of solvent per hour.

If two distillation tanks are used, the system can be used almost continuously without the thermal oil cooling down, allowing a relatively large throughput for the small physical size of the unit.

The AV Series is supplied ready for operation - All it needs is connection to power!

The control system monitors the distillation procedure and switches off automatically when the distillation time expires or in the event of a fault.

  • Several distillations can be carried out each day with low energy costs
  • All parts in contact with solvent are manufactured from high-grade stainless steel
  • Distillation is carried out in heatproof distillation bags, minimising cleaning
  • System automatically switches off on completion of the distillation cycle

OFRU COMPACT - Continuous Feeding and Automatic Operation

The explosion-proof COMPACT is a new development from OFRU. This small plant contains a horizontal distillation boiler made of high-grade steel, which can be simply cleaned after distillation.

The COMPACT unit will distill between 7 and 20 litres of solvent per hour.

The COMPACT fills fully automatically from a soiled solvent container, then can operate unsupervised until either the soiled solvent container is empty, or a fault occurs.

The clean solvent is automatically fed out of the machine into a suitable container.

Benefits:

  • Fully Automatic, continuous filling - no more pouring! Soiled solvent level is continuously maintained
  • Horizontal distillation boiler - Simple cleaning!
  • Small distillation boiler - Fast heating of the solvent with high rates of distillation due to the small size of the boiler
  • Integrated ATEX/EX switchgear cabinet with digital SIEMENS control
  • Built to the newest European guidelines - High levels of reliability!

DSC Series - Steam Heated Solvent Recycler to 100 litre capacity

The Ex-rated Series DSC consists of a horizontal distillation boiler of high-grade steel, in which the dirty solvent is regenerated by means of vacuum distillation.

The distillation boiler has a 100 or 200 litre capacity and is surrounded by a steam-heated double jacket. This starts the distillation process extremely quickly - Faster than conventional thermal oil heated systems.

The DSC Series distills between 20 and 150 litres of solvent per hour.

The plant is filled continuously, either from a soiled solvent barrel or a tank system. A level regulator keeps the level of soiled solvent constant in the distillation boiler.

The electrical control system monitors all parameters, and switches the unit off is safety is breached, or a fault occurs.

In a water-cooled high speed condenser solvent steams are condensed, whose cooling water supply is constantly supervised by a flow switch. After completion of the distillation procedure the plant switches off automatically.

The emptying of the residue is via a ball valve or by simply opening of the large cover door. Suitable cleaning tools are included with the system.

The non-explosion proof switchgear cabinet is separate from the distilling plant and must be installed outside of the Ex-rated area.

ASC Series - Professional Solvent Recycling to 6,000 litre capacity

The ASC solvent recovery plant was been developed especially for customers with process large volumes of dirty solvent.

These companies usually store solvent in 500-1,000 litre tanks and pump the solvent to cleaning units (for container cleaning, IBC washing, etc).

The range of ASC recovery units have a treatment rate starting from 50 litres per hour up to more than 1,000 litre per hour to meet all customer requirements.

All ASC solvent recycling plants utilise modern technology and contain high quality parts (stainless steel, t6eflon, etc) for long, trouble-free use.

The ASC range contains a high grade, conical distillation vessel without welding joints and OFRU’s integrated high efficiency steam heating system.

The ASC range is self cleaning: A slow running agitator with self-adjusting scraper blades keeps the vessel walls free from soiling.

At the end of the continuous distillation process a final automatic sump distillation process is initialised. The solvent residue is concentrated to a selected viscosity, after which the plant shuts down automatically. The discharge of the thick viscous distillation residue is done through a outlet valve on the bottom of the machine. No manual cleaning is necessary.

Until that point the solvent recovery unit has reclaimed large volumes of regenerated solvents and is immediately ready for the next process of regeneration.

ASC solvent treatment plants are widely used in the paint, lacquer, print and flexo print companies and by professional waste processing companies.

WSC Series - Water Recovery to 7,920 litres per day

The non-Ex-proof recycling plants of the WSC series are vacuum evaporators with a integrated heat pump circuit. The combined effect of the vacuum and heat pump guarantees distillation of liquids at low temperatures and with extraordinarily low energy consumption.

The liquid to be treated is continuously added by metering and held constant in the evaporator system. The result, a generated distillate flows through the overflow of an integrated buffer tank at a constant 20°C.

The concentrated liquid (sludge) containing impurities is automatically discharged through a valve when a specific level of saturation is attained. The entire system is controlled by means of an PLC-control unit and guarantees safe operation. All WSC waste water distillation equipments are ready for 24 hour operation.

Typical applications for the WSC Series include the photographic industry, galvanic or electroplating industry, finishing industry and pre-treatment of metals.
