EXCEL Filter Elements

The EXCEL range of ceramic filter elements are manufactured in a range of controlled pore sizes giving high porosity, maximum filtration efficiency, high solids holding capacity and an excellent flow throughput of 200-350 litres per hour at 3 bar pressure.

There are five basic types of elements:

STANDEX - Removes 99.99% of suspended solids and water-borne bacteria down to 0.5 micron. After brushing, this element requires boiling to sterilise it.

SILVEX - Removes 99.99% of suspended solids and water-borne bacteria down to 0.5 micron, but does not require boiling. The ceramic element incorporates silver to make the element self-sterilising (bacteriostatic).

SUPEX - Removes 99.99% of suspended solids and water-borne bacteria down to 0.5 micron, is self-sterilising and contains granular activated carbon to improve the colour, taste and odour of drinking water. This element is suitable for low pressure applications such as gravity filters.

CARBEX - Removes 99.99% of suspended solids and water-borne bacteria down to 0.5 micron, is self-sterilising and contains a unique blend of granular and powder carbon in the form of a solid insert ensuring that the carbon has an increased efficiency factor of over five times when compared to granular carbon only.

METEX - Identical to CARBEX, but includes specific additional media to remove heavy metals, nitrates, arsenic, etc.

All JP Ceramics filter elements are available in cartridge and candle configuration as well as varying lengths and diameters.
