The Bright Spark 2B Sure electrolysis system consists of a low voltage electrode cell, mounted in the water line.

2B Safe Stick

Every year millions of people suffer because they have drunk contaminated water. The 2B Safe stick from Bright Spark saves lives because it sanitizes contaminated water.

The 2B Safe system works with electrolysis - With a 2B Safe Stick, 10 litres of water, a tank and a bit of common salt, 1,000 litres of water can be sanitized within two hours!

The 2B Safe system was used successfully in 2005 after the Asian Tsunami catastrophe, and it widely used to provide disinfected water quickly in areas that are hit by natural catastrophes.

A salt tablet is added to 10 litres of water. The 2B Safe stick is placed into water and connected to a 12 voltage direct current (e.g. to a car battery via the cigarette lighter or a solar heater). The 2B Sure stick converts the salt into sodium hypochlorite at a concentration strong enough to disinfect up to 50,000 litres of water. The concentrate is then mixed with the locally available drinking water to the required sodium hypochlorite concentration. A control strip helps to identify the right mixture. And.....Safe, disinfected drinking water ready for use!

2B Sure Swimming Pool

Until recently chlorine was widely used to disinfect swimming pools, but great care had to be taken in handling, and storing of this highly corrosive substance was subject to tight environmental regulations.

Bright Spark has developed the innovative 2B Sure system that renders chlorine unnecessary.

The system works based on the electrolysis principle and is simple, environmentally friendly, money saving and a safe solution for disinfecting swimming pool water.

An electrolysis cell is fitted as the last element in your filter line, just before the filtered water enters the swimming pool. The cell is activated whenever the filter system runs, converting salt into sodium hypochlorite which kills the germs.

Due to the high disinfection level, the usage of chlorine is unnecessary and little or no acid is needed to balance the pH.

The disinfection concentrate that is generated can sanitize large amounts of water. Water circulation distributes the disinfection concentrate in the swimming pool. There is little or no acid needed to balance the pH.

The system can easily be set up with control strips. The more dirty the water is, the more disinfectant is needed. This “as necessary” method saves operational costs and has the advantage that very little chlorine smell and taste occurs.

Irritation of eyes, ears and mucous membrane are largely a thing of the past!

Anti-Fouling

Protect your ship from organic material with the Anti-fouling system from Bright Spark!

Bright Spark developed this innovative Anti-fouling system that keeps your ship free from organic material using electrolysis.

The growth of shells, mussels or barnacles on ships is a well known problem, causing loss in speed and higher fuel costs, and potentially damaging the ship's hull.

Cleaning and maintenance was (up to now!) the only way to remove this organic materials, and the costs involved in hull cleaning are considerable!

The Anti-fouling system consists of two special mobile electrodes and one control case. When the ship is moored, the electrodes are lowered over the side into the water. The interaction of copper ions and the electric field that exists between the two electrodes creates a protection zone that prevents shells and algae from sticking to the ship's hull. As soon as both electrodes are in the water and the system is energised, the system starts protecting. The status of the system can be monitored using the control case display.

The Anti-fouling system is easy to maintain and it can be used to protect all materials (wood, metal, polyester).

The Bright Spark Anti–fouling system can be also used to protect other objects immersed in seawater, such as buoys, and can be located on the sea floor beneath berth positions so that several ships can be protected at the same time!

The system uses 12 VDC but it can be provided with an adapter for alternating current.
