New HunterLab QC Software

EasyMatch QC is now available! All users that have installed Universal QC software since the beginning of 2005 have been automatically upgraded to the current Version of EasyMatch QC and will continue to be upgraded into the near future.

The current Version, 3.50, will soon be replaced with Version 3.60 and we recommend all users of Universal Software now to seriously consider an upgrade to EasyMatch QC.

EasyMatch QC is a significantly better system than Universal software, with a greatly improved user interface, totally redesigned database (MS Access), vastly improved printing options and much more.

Factory-Refurbished OFRU Solvent and Wastewater Recycling Systems Available

OFRU have advised us that they currently have a range of factory-refurbished reclaimation systems available.

The solvent systems currently available range in size from 30 litre vessels (reclaimation rate approximately 8 litres/hour) to 500 litre vessels (reclaimation rate approximately 150 litres/hour).

The water systems range from 7 litres/hour to 31 litres per hour reclaimation rates.

Order Small Quantities On-Line

Summer is Coming. Will you have any problems with drinking water?

If you are a city or town dweller, hopefully not. If you live in a rural area, or have a holiday house at the beach or in the country, good quality water for domestic purposes – including drinking – could be a scarce item.

There may be a supply of fresh surface water nearby; from a river, creek, lake or irrigation channel that is totally unsuitable “as is”, or the town water supply may be dodgy, especially in old country towns.

The Fresh Water Filter Company provides “whole-of-house” microfiltration systems that will screen out dirt AND all microorganisms, including harmful bacteria, such as e.coli. Two systems are available, one for dwellings with up to four people, the other for 5 persons and above. The smaller unit will provide 300,000 litres per year and the larger unit 600,000 litres/year at a rate of 720 litres/hour and 1440 litres/hour respectively.

Cost? About 40 cents/1,000 litres over 5 years, at full capacity.

New Inovex Centrestage Dispensers Released

Inovex has recently released the Colourblend Centrestage 36 & 54 ingredient machines for larger companies looking to automate their blending of multi-component formulations.

These new high accuracy, high volume systems are designed to provide fast turnaround of small batches and the reduction of stock holdings.

The single point dispensing design allows the machine to be used for sample batches alongside full scale production, and is equally at home when used for in-can tinting or large scale production batches.

SPAM Emails Annoying You?

Our service providers, Industrial Technical Services, have recently completed an investigation into the software available for spam detection, and compared the costs and performance of these packages.

The end result of their investigations indicated that the MailGuard package provided a high level of spam detection and eradication at a competitive price.
