Advanced Friction Tester

The Hanatek Advanced Friction tester is the most comprehensive tool available for characterising the surface slip of plastic film, printed cartons, packaging substrates or paper. This flexible instrument can also be used to measure and display the frictional values of any flat surface including rubber, flooring plastics textile and leather.

In addition to providing dynamic and surface slip values for a surface, the instrument allows the full friction force output to be displayed, stored and compared. This unique ability helps a manufacturer to relate the feeding and running speeds of a product to its surface characteristics.  

The instrument is available with optional extras to measure peel strength of adhesives, tear strength of substrates and the blocking of plastic films and coated cartons.

Crease and Board Stiffness Testers CB 1 and CB3

The CBT1 gives board manufacturers, printers and packing companies the ability to predict the 'runability' of a sample board or finished carton before committing valuable materials or machine time.

Film Thickness Guage

The Hanatek FT1 Film thickness gauge is specifically designed to quickly and accurately measure the thickness of cast and blown films. The instrument has an auto cycle mode that allows a large section of film to be checked quickly for thickness variation.

Inclined Plane Friction Tester IP1

The Hanatek Incline Friction tester is a low cost but extremely accurate instrument for determining the dynamic friction coefficient of flat surfaces.

Designed for use in the packaging industry to measure the dynamic slip of unprinted carton board, printed cartons or plastic films and their coatings, the instrument is suitable for measuring other products including leather, textiles and paper.

The operation of the device is exceptionally simple, simply cut two samples with the enclosed templates and attach one to the platen and one to the measurement sled.
The instrument will raise the platen until the dynamic slip force value is determined.  The dynamic coefficient of the surface is determined using the display readout (degrees) on the provided chart.

Melt Flow Indexer

The Hanatek Melt Flow Indexer is unique in having 3 controlled temperature zones in the barrel.  This allows it to accurately comply with the standards.  It also allows any alternative MFI equipment to be profiled and simulated on this device.  

The instrument offers a user changeable barrel which minimises downtime and increases efficiency.

Rub Proof Tester

The Hanatek Rubproofness tester brings new levels of repeatability and convenience to testing the durability of inks and coatings on any printed material. The instrument is used for testing the scuff marking and rub resistance of cartons, films and commercial printed material.

This comparative test works by abrading a printed sample against a reference material under known conditions. The results can be used to identify alternative substrates, better ink and coating formulations or the suitability of finished cartons, films or printed books, magazines and promotional materials.

Substrate Thickness Gauge

The Hanatek FT2 substrate thickness gauge is designed for the sampling and verification of the thickness of cast and blown films, paper, carton boards and foils. The flexible design allows the measurement area and down force to be adjusted so that any readings comply to the relevant industrial standard.

Film Shrink Tester Model 2010
